My family and I drove from the east side to try out the new key lime silk pie today. We have a place that we get our pies from already, but decided we would give Achatz a try for something new. Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately by the delicious aroma of baking pies. But, that’s where all the greeting ended. The two young women behind the counter were busy prepping pies, but neither welcomed us into the store as we entered. Eventually, three other people walked in and somehow both parties were greeted and served before us. When we finally were helped, we were not met with smiles or any other warm tones. There also was no urgency or interest behind their actions, which made us feel as if we were just getting in their way. When ordering the savory hand pies, they did not offer to warm them up, which surprised us, as we thought we’d be able to eat them on the way home. Anyway, my family and I bought a slice of the key lime silk pie, the cherry dipped in chocolate hand pie, the apple hand pie, a slice of the chocolate bourbon pecan pie, a sausage and gravy hand pie, a chicken pot pie hand pie, and a buffalo chicken hand pie. Was craving a pie and was recommend this place. Bought their cannoli cream pie since I’ve never heard of that one and it sounded intriguing - go do got it because it was SOOO GOOD. Bought a whole pie and my family and I finished it in about 2 days.

I love this place. There are plenty of sweet and savory choices to choose from. The staff were very friendly and informed me that local ingredients are used in making their pies. I'm all for supporting local businesses like these. Thank you for the great customer service and experience 😃

Super fast and friendly service, tons of variety, and great quality! The cannoli pie had a flaky crust and I loved the mini chocolate chips! The autumn harvest was phenomenal pecan/pumpkin pie! Also they have napkins and flowers on the table which is a great service.
